This past Sunday and Monday (Nov. 21st and 22nd), The Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia performed their concert “Handel Arias,” conducted by Jeri Lynne Johnson, in the Perelman Theater in the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts. The program included Handel’s Concerto grosso in A Minor as well as 5 of Handel’s Arias. Also included were Bloch’s Concerto grosso No. 1, and Schoenberg’s Chamber Symphony No. 1, and featured rousing solos from Randi J. Marrazzo, soprano, and Suzanne DuPlantis, mezzo-soprano. |
