PHILOMEL—5:00pm—6:00pm Then at 5:00pm, stay tuned for a special President’s Day Weekend broadcast of The Philomel Baroque Orchestra. In keeping with this weekend’s holiday, this program will have a historical theme, looking back at the musical tastes of Philadelphia’s favorite son, Benjamin Franklin. Beyond these, it will also present works regularly featured by a “founding father” of the modern public concert, Thomas Britten, meaning works of Purcell, Handel, and Vivaldi. Be sure to listen to WRTI 90.1FM this Sunday at 5:00pm to hear this fantastic concert! |
