The Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia Performances: Sunday, February 22nd and Monday, February 23rd, 2004 at the Perelman Theater in The Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts Ignat Solzhenitsyn conducted a stunning performance of Bartok's Music for Strings, Percussion, and Celesta, BB114 and Shostakovich's Symphony No. 14 for Soprano, Bass and Chamber Orchestra, Op. 135. This Chamber Orchestra concert featured special guest soloists Elena Prokina, soprano, and Sergei Leiferkus, bass. This program will air on WRTI 90.1 FM on a date TBA in the Spring of 2004. Stay tuned! Past Chamber Orchestra performances can be heard on WRTI every Sunday from 5-6pm. |
