CURRENT EVENTS (updated 5/27/04)

Exciting information about our clients’ newest projects, concerts, and releases!

(5/24/04) The Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia’s season-closing concert at the Perelman Theater, was conducted by Jeri Lynne Johnson, and drew a large, family-heavy crowd for obvious reasons.  Mozart’s Clarinet Concerto in A Major, K. 622, featured 14-year-old Julian Bliss on clarinet, and the final piece, narrated by WRTI’s morning host Dave Conant, was Prokofiev’s famous Peter and the Wolf.  The Chamber Orchestra also performed Mozart’s Symphony No. 10 in G Major, K. 74, and Borodin’s Nocturne for Strings.

(5/16/04) Schola Nova’s May concert, The Strings of Spring, took place in the beautiful Stotesbury Mansion, home of the Catholic Philopatrian Literary Institute, at 1923 Walnut St.

The performance featured Britten’s Simple Symphony, Biber’s Fidicinium Sacro-profanum No. 1, Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto No. 3, and Tchaikovsky’s Souvenir de Florence.

(5/9/04) Philomel’s final concert of the season was an all-Vivaldi event, primarily featuring The Four Seasons, but also including two other Vivaldi concertos.  Featured soloists were Nancy Wilson on violin, and Elissa Berardi on recorder.

These pictures were taken on Sunday, May 9th, at the Church of St. Martin-in-the-Fields in Chestnut Hill.
