Weston Sound recorded the Ocean City Pops this July 5th for their upcoming CD release due out in August to coincide with the rest of their summer season. Soloists Todd Thomas and Barbara Dever perform with the Pops on a collection of Americana songs, conducted by Music Director Bill Scheible. |

On June 26th-28th, the Kimmel Center held its annual “Summer Solstice,” a celebration of music and arts that lasts the entire weekend. One of the groups performing was a small ensemble led by Chamber Orchestra conductor Jeri Lynne Johnson. Part one of the concert was called “I Conduct,” wherein audience members could come up and try their hand at conducting. The second part of the concert was an original work entitled Fish Magic. Fish Magic was composed by Johnson herself and combined with a multimedia presentation created by Peggy Gyulai and Bill Gastrock, which was projected onto the walls of the room, providing a total underwater sensory experience. |
